Wishbone Ash Riff

Riff Number 4. Now this one is a little more obscure. In fact I’ll probably be amazed if you’ve even heard of it before. Anyway it’s taken from a Wishbone Ash song called Jail bait. Now we’re still using simple notes on that scale, but we’re increasing the tempo a little just to get those finders moving a little quicker and more fluidly.

So here it is! Let me know what you think by leaving me a comment at the bottom of the page.

And if you enjoy this, then i’m sure you’ll love everything we’ve got in the Membership site. For more details on this, just click the button on the image below. Thanks, and I’ll be posting the next lesson very soon. Andy.

Great stuff! Wishbone Ash are still a class act. First group I ever saw live at The Rainbow Theatre aroundthe time of release of Argus. Please try to include a track from that great album in the Songs section at some stage.
    Cheers

Hi, this is great – it’s one of those great Ash songs I had forgotten – thanks for reminding me about it – great riff and a great warm up routine.

Oh by the way the phrase above “increasing the tempo a little just to get those finders moving” I think should read fingers?

    Great tutorial – thanks again

    Bob

Today we're looking at Power Chords and the classic JJ Cale song Cocaine. Although this is very much more in the style of the Eric Clapton version.

Sad news................"The Father of Loud" Jim Marshall, the founder of Marshall amps, died today aged 88. Slash tweeted "The news of Jim Marshall passing is deeply saddening. R & R will never be the same w/out him. But, his amps will live on FOREVER!"

I say, set up yer stack and rock heaven 'till it shakes.

That man defined the heavy rock guitar sound.

Yes it's happy birthday to Johann Sebastian Bach...born in 1685. Did he influence any great rock guitarists????
