I’m In Deep Trouble…
OK I’ll probably be in deep trouble unless I stop giving away Nate’s cool Blues lessons! Actually he’s got a fair point
I guess you know by now if his Blues Guitar Blueprint is right for you.
So, this is the last lesson…
Creating Major Scales
Now this really is crucial stuff, so take notes. There’s a complete workbook with all Nate’s lesson, but he wouldn’t let me give you that for free as well!
In order to build a blues scale you first need to learn how to build a major scale. The major scale is simply a series of whole-steps and half-steps.
The series of whole-steps and half-steps that you need in order to create any major scale is “whole-step, whole-step, half-step, whole-step, whole-step, whole-step, half-step”. That works out to two whole-steps, one half-step, three whole-steps and one more half-step. It may seem be a bit difficult to remember this formula for the major scale so I always think “WWHWWWH”. Check it out…

Without the building blocks of how scale or chord is constructed ,you will always have to refer to a scale/chords book. You have provided in simple terms the formula so you wont be stuck in the future. Well done ,that man. Yeah !!
