guitar secret ebook

The single biggest secret to becoming the guitarist you want to be!

This is a very simple tool, yet unbelievable powerful. But to get the most out of it, you’ll need to set aside 30 minutes right now. I promise you it will be time well spent and will repay the investment in time thousands of times over!

The strategy here is to take your guitar goals from being vague ideas or thoughts which exist somewhere in the slightly foggy future and make them very real and specific targets that you’ll be motivated to reach and exceed.

They’ll become larger than life and your desire to attain them will grow enormously as will your drive and motivation.

A key part of this is to make your goal completely real. It’s like you’re looking back on your goal having already achieved it. You remember reaching your goal and can recollect exactly what it was like as an experience. An experience that you can feel with all your senses.

So your goal has a specific time and place, it is an event that you can create and build a living experience around. There are associated feelings and emotions, sights and sounds, even smells.

With this template we’re going to make your guitar goal (or goals) very, very real indeed.

Once you’ve completed this template, you print it out and keep it somewhere you can see it often. Even read it before each practice session. It’ll get you motivated as you see your goal actually getting closer with every passing week.

So, let’s get started.

Thanks for the motivation. Although I had heard of this before in one of my marketing seminars I would like to apply it in learning how to be good at playing guitar.

Great technique. I have used goal setting for as many aspects of my life as possible. However, I really never write it out because I use short term goals all of the time. Mostly, because I feel if I set a long term (final) goal I will no longer have a goal to reach once I have obtained it. This usualy keeps my motivation high and my journey rolling, but I am going to implement this technique asap: you can never have too many tools in the toolbox.

at 55 Ive learned to play chords some tunes some rifs, my aim is to play four numbers outright in this year without noticeable error in font of a crowd .Its because of no tuition that Ive given up countlessly since I was ten and the three ropey guitars over the years played a part too.MY reward to myself will eventuall be a gretch white falcon ,,,,,,too good a guitar to own when you play badly though …….cheers Andy

    Hi Andy
Started playing 2 yr.s ago, played daily, loved it even with the frustrations
of all the new stuff i needed to learn. I took some piano courses in the past and could read
read some music. Lost my brother in Nov. after a short illness,He played guitar and had a beautiful
voice. My playing came to a full stop. Want to start again but unsure of where i am at.

    Hey Andy!
I don’t believe that guy that says he NEVER put his guitar down. EVERY guitar player I know
and I’ve be playing for over 30 years has at one time or another even if only for a few weeks or
months has put the guitar aside and took a break. But you know, someone in every crowd has to say
the opposite just to justify themselves or look like the hero. Anyway, the emotional game is
always the TRUE test of longevity in anything, music, sports, relationships, etc., ANYTHING!!!
And I think your lesson/program will help a large number of people in achieving their goal.
    Keep up the good work.

i have been in a place where my guitars are gathering dust. of all the wanna be guitar teachers none rate my opinion more than you do,,when i watch and listen to whats said and shown the riffs, things fall in place easier.. so i’ll catch what i can from your meeethods and you keep pushing along..

wow the story of my life! i reach a point, then drop it for awhile , when i come back, i spend time getting back where i left off, then try and move ahead, feel like a yo-yo, never really move forward (kind of like a turtle!)

Thanks Andy. I am very frustrated as I write. Breaking it down makes sense. For me, tiny, tiny chunks work better. For example, that first little Em pentatonic lick that Angus does in Back in Black is my goal. I can feel I am a little better already. Frustration always is a companion though.

This is great idea for a biginner like me. I have a goal sheet taped on my computer desk. I have it broken doen to 3, 6, 9, 12, Months. I will use what I have just written down, and apply it to these peremiters. I will strech it out over a year, and see what happens. My 3 month goal is rather simple. My first goal was to play all the major Pantatonic boxes from memory. I have accomplished that short term goal. Now my long term goalis to play smother, and raise my pantatonic scales 1-5 from 60BPM to 90Bpm. I have only been trying to play Blues for about 2 months. At 77 years old it feels good to have goals. Thanks again, Mike

Fine to say but there is still memory retention to contend with. I cant remember and need to keep refering to the last page of the script so I am stuck on page 1.

You made goal setting easier for me to attach myself to. Interestingly enough, your goal setting process could be applied to other areas of life not necessarily relating just to guitar learning. Thank you.

i can relate to what you are saying ,as i have’nt touched my guitar for a month i think it’s boredome, plus i have been on the keyboard every day i feel that i need some motivation

True story – best thing about goals – even if you don’t get ‘all the way there’, or ‘exactly there’, you cover a whole lot more territory in the process than if no goal is set…structured repetition – improvisation is just re-assembly of phrases and structures already known, like words and phrases of a language used to express an idea.

Today we're looking at Power Chords and the classic JJ Cale song Cocaine. Although this is very much more in the style of the Eric Clapton version.

Sad news................"The Father of Loud" Jim Marshall, the founder of Marshall amps, died today aged 88. Slash tweeted "The news of Jim Marshall passing is deeply saddening. R & R will never be the same w/out him. But, his amps will live on FOREVER!"

I say, set up yer stack and rock heaven 'till it shakes.

That man defined the heavy rock guitar sound.

Yes it's happy birthday to Johann Sebastian Bach...born in 1685. Did he influence any great rock guitarists????
