Eric Clapton Cocaine
Welcome to this week’s coaching session.
Today we’re looking at Power Chords and the classic JJ Cale riff from the song Cocaine. Although this is very much more in the style of the Eric Clapton version.
The trick to this simple riff is all in the timing, so i’ve created a simple backing track to help you with this.
This is the first part of Cocaine session. In the next session, we’ll be adding the Lead Licks and also throwing in some improvisation as well.
I’ll make sure this session goes into your “Coaching” library on the Members site so you can come back to it on a regular basis until you’ve cracked it! Remember there’s a whole range of other riffs and easy guitar songs for you to master in the BandJammer libraries.

You are so much fun Andy. Don’t know how many times I’ve walked around humming those bars. Now I can play them. Way cool! Ties in with a lot of your other lessons.
PS I’m a member of Jamplay as well. They used to have a great lesson on “Stairway to Heaven” but took it down due to legal issues. I really miss that lesson. I don’t suppose you could find a way to…..?
Andy, Your the best! I’ve learned so much from your teaching. So far I have only seen the free ones, (thanks so much for sharing ) but when I can save enough I will be getting your blues lessons. Thanks again Andy. You have made the guitar fun.
YOUR PRESENTATIONS ARE EASY TO FOLLOW, KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT LESSONS. ONLY ONE PROBLEM THE SYNCRONIZATION ON VISUAL TO SOUND IS OUT.
